What in the world do I do?

Yesterday I spent the morning in the kitchen, preparing for the students who were coming for dinner.
All the produce has to be washed and rinsed, so prep for food is more time consuming than in the US.
However, these 25 long-stem roses cost 3 dollars!  That is a great trade off!
Working with flowers!  Another gift, and favorite thing!  So much fun to do.
Maggi Passmore's Taco Salad!  I have been making it for almost 20 years now!  First for the Youth Group kids for the Havasu Spring Break trip!  For my family--often!  For company!  (It is one of my go to meals that I always keep the ingredients on hand, just in case.)  For the Quito Quest interns at Beach Retreat over many years.  And last but not least, it was always "my meal" for the first night at the beach when we went with Millers, Coles, Clines and Co. over the years for our vacations.  Good times!  This is one of the "smaller" bowls and smaller crowds I have ever served!  I put the banana there to give you some frame of reference.  It was a big bowl!  But I usually make this in a plastic tub!  And it is always amazing how it disappears.  Thank you Maggi!  Laura Gowan!  Was thinking of you so much as I made it this time!  How many times did we make this together!
Phil sitting with students at dinner last night.  Then we had a great time listening to each one share their life story!  Always an enriching time.
oops a little dark!  Alexandra is an ICS/Living Learning intern--studying Spanish in Quito for two weeks and heading to the jungle to a school there for a month.  Taylor, Jonathan, Tyler, and Nathan are the four Living and Learning/Business Track students that are here studying Spanish, Global Marketing, Business as Mission, and Internships in various Ecuadorian Businesses.
Just so you remember that I am a total nubasoraus at blogging!  (yes I can coin new words!)
I could not figure out how to rotate this pic! Part of what I spend time on these days is figuring out how to do things like this blog, and as a learner, it takes me much longer!  This is the finished product of the arrangement I was working on.  You will have to use your imagination or turn your computer around!  So, that was a bit about yesterday.  Today is different, as will tomorrow be, there are no "normal" days or "typical" days.  I have some rhythms for each day and then lots of variety mixed in.
