Douce/Pojmaevich Wedding! Happy union and reunion!!

My two handsome escorts!  Phil and Austin ready to head out to the wedding!

Just before we were going to leave, there was a massive thunderclap, lightening and a fierce storm blew through.  It was still raining a little when we arrived at the venue, but the worst had passed.  (Look for the picture of the hail right out our kitchen window later in the blog!)  Phil on the steps of the Club where the wedding was held.  It was gorgeous!  (over close to the US ambassador's residence, and Hotel Quito, for those of you that know your way around Quito.)

Brian and Brandon Cole, twins that our kids grew up with in Quito, were back for the wedding!

Karen, Curt, myself, and Phil and across the aisle,  Brad, Hannah and Sandi!  We had such fun!

So great to get to see old friends.  Our kids grew up together, and we vacationed together and have had hours of sitting at basketball games, graduations, weddings etc. together!
"Hand-dog!" Laura Gowan's nickname for Hannah stuck!  Here she is all grown up into a lovely, beautiful young lady!  She was back home visiting for two weeks, fun to see her at this stage in life.

Precious little baby Graham!  There's nothing more to say, the picture says it all.
With Cameron, the beautiful mamma of this precious little boy!
The mimes/fairies that glided through the evening, they called everyone for dinner, and mingled through the dinner and dancing.  I couldn't help but think of you Amber and Natalie!

The flowers were exquisite!  There were arrangements like this in the entryway, and ceremony site.  Breathtakingly beautiful.
This was our table!  This whole arrangement is stalk, and it smelled heavenly!  Every detail was lovely.
Still haven't figured out how to move pictures!  Sorry about that!  This should have been at the beginning.  This was the hail falling and collecting out our kitchen window about 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon.  I couldn't help but think of the bride!  But the storm was mostly passed by the time the wedding started.  :)  Thank you Lord.
The dessert table, with blue lighting on it!
Close up of the bed of roses, pictured above that the candelabra was sitting on.
The wedding cake!  Now, notably absent are any pictures of the bride, groom, and family.  Here's the thing!  They left and took pictures somewhere while the guests mingled in the library and large entry area.  I didn't see them.  My pictures during the ceremony were a bust and then my camera died.  I know you can see quality pictures of the bride and groom and families from others with much better cameras etc. on facebook and websites galore.  Carla Ackerman was one of the photographers, and she does amazing work and you can see it on her site.  I have shared with you some of the lovely details that were fun and of interest to me, and some of the people that we got to have "reunions" with.  We had not seen the Cole family in a while.  They now live in Colorado, Arkansas, and Oklahoma!  Millers are in California, Michigan, and Ecuador, Paynes are in California and Ecuador!  :)  So getting to be together was a treat.  The ceremony was great, the food was fantastic, the dancing a ball!  We just had a wonderful time.  So often we have missed weddings because of being "away" so it was especially meaningful to be here for this special day in Jordan and Violeta's life and celebrate with them.  I had so much fun dancing with Christy, Sandi, Dana, Karen, Hannah, and the kids in general.  Even got Phil out there for a bit! :)  It really is just too much fun!  "my, my, my dancing shoes..."
