What a strange mixture of joy intermingled with concern! A baby arriving "early"!
Is there such a thing from Gods perspective? When the time was right...that's how God does things! Maybe babies are more attuned to this truth than their parents or grand parents.
Today I was going to be grocery shopping, doing some spiritual direction, making dinner for a friend, playing with my kitten and resting!!! However, God had another idea, and I am on a plane winging my way to Kansas City and a new grand baby and his parents! Just like that the day took a sharp turn! I was showered and packed and out the door in under an hour! I guess the gift is that there was no time to think of all I would be leaving undone, priorities distilled quickly--
And away I went. If I can do this in crisis I wonder if there is a lesson here? Another call to simplify? Live with hands open?
Was browsing around on some of my bookmarks, and realized I hadn't heard from you in a long time, so checked your blog-- just at the right time! Many congratulations to you & Phil & the happy little family!! I still can't imagine that all our kids are old enough to be starting their own families (or that we are old enough to be grandparents!!!!). Leah & Armen left Cali Tuesday night & are off to Haiti for 2 months, then she's doing travel nursing for the rest of the year. David & I will be headed back to US in July for 6 months... we are doing well. Hope you & all the rest of your bunch is well too... Blessings!
