We had a great crew of helpers for a few hours on Friday morning. And Stephanie and Katie (in the blue, front left of picture) helped all day! Ruby sitting on the floor in the red is one of the home stay mom's for our semester abroad program. She is just a great new friend. I have loved getting to know her a little this summer, and we spent a lot of time talking and working together for the wedding.
This is just some of the roses in water! There were probably 15 bundles of 25 roses/bundle---the helpers stripped, and dethorned all of them, cut them again, and put them in water.
Working on the arrangement that would sit on the table at the front of the wedding.
Finished, except for we ran out of limones. So Abby brought more, and we filled the vase with limes to hide the stems!
The centerpieces were a collection of three jars that were three different sizes. So first thing I did after getting organized was put together the sample of what the arrangements were to look like. Here Katie and Stephanie are working on making the 21 littlest arrangements, in two different styles. So Stephanie did 11 of one kind, and Katie 10 of the other. They were troopers!
This is Dana arriving for the rehearsal dinner. She had not been feeling good all day. But once she got out there, and was able to get some fresh air, she seemed to be better thankfully, and able to enjoy the evening.
Dana and Andres at the end of the rehearsal dinner, sneak in to take a peak at the flowers! A happy Bride and groom!
Here are the bridal, and bridesmaids bouquets, and the throwing bouquet, from two different angles. The Bride's bouquet is the large one on the left, and the front one below!
Transporting 63 flower arrangements for centerpieces across the property to where the reception was took some time, and I turned around at one point and someone had the bright idea of putting a bunch of arrangements into this tub! It was a breathtaking sight to me, and I stopped them, and took a picture so I would remember this look! How do you beat white on white, and in a beautiful container like this? Wow! God's creation and his intricate creativity in flowers always leaves me awestruck!
Christy and Diana! Christy is Dana's roomie, and the mastermind behind all the decorations! Diana did Dana's hair and makeup, and it is her friends who own this lovely place! After she was done with hair she came out and helped with decorating! She is the lady who overseas all the internships and homestays for our students that come with Living and Learning the semester abroad experience here that Phil works with. These are two special girls and I love them both!
Abby and Stephanie! I could not have finished what needed to be done without these two! We have done this together before for a wedding in Ecuador! But we got less sleep last time! :) I love these two girls as well.
Where Dana and Andres would sit for the reception! The only thing missing is the hydrangeas in hanging jars that we moved from the ceremony sight to the reception sight.
This pic made me laugh, I caught Stephanie and Abby taking pictures exact same time, and angle! Love it.
This is the final deal. There were ten tables like this and ten that had a slightly different med. and small arrangement. It was tricky getting it all to work. Notice the jars had each been wrapped. The bridesmaids and Christy had worked on that ahead of time.
The bride ready for her "REVEAL" she was walking out to meet Andres Sat. morning about 10:30 as I was walking through to my work area! She was so beautiful.
Abby and I! So fun to have Abby back for this wedding. Having her and Stephanie around seem almost like the good ol' days from long ago!
